The idea of solar was an abstract idea to me, until I started working with Turner Morris. They helped me to see “if I put this much money down, I get this much money back, the system is going to last 20 years.” It was a no-brainer.

The reason why I like Turner Morris is because we’ve done work with them for 20 years on big roofs, with large HOAs. They do great work, their craftsmanship is outstanding. If you can go into a new arena with a proven resource, how can you go wrong?

So having Turner Morris put a solar system on the roof that Turner Morris installed only made sense.

The challenges of putting a solar panel system on a roof this steep, in this environment, are significant. I really believe Turner Morris knows more about the stress and strain these roofs have to withstand than the engineers do.

Those panels are literally humming from sunrise on, cranking out AC current through those inverters.

They go in snow, rain, whatever - not at peak efficiency, but they put out energy. Heck, we had 2” of snow this morning, and the panels were still putting out energy. And as the snow melts, up goes the power. It’s amazing.

And the system is working at higher output than we thought it would. You can’t beat that!

You really need to work with someone who knows all the ins and outs - the roof, the solar panels and system, the regulations, the right equipment to put power back into the grid, all the rebates and stuff. That’s why I relied on Turner Morris. They took care of everything.

I bought American-made panels, used the local Turner Morris guys (who are experts on these roofs) to install them, and am now creating clean energy that is virtually free, and putting energy back into the grid - it couldn’t be anything but good for everybody.

Any time you can get away with no electric bill for 20 years, it’s a good idea. I thought, “wouldn’t it be great to get something for nothing.” When an Xcel truck goes by, I let out a yell because it feels so good to be beating the big guys at their own game.

What’s interesting is no holes were put in my roof to install the panels. The panels actually make the roof stronger - that roof can withstand anything we’ve ever experienced in the mountains, and then some.

I had a couple of companies bid this project, including a solar company. Nothing bad about the solar guys, but when Turner Morris offered the service - well, you really want people on your roof who know roofs. And they now have the expertise on staff to do the solar stuff.

Installing a solar system is actually more of a roofing job than a solar job. So it made absolute sense to rely on Turner Morris.
